12/6/2019 0 Comments Midsummer SessionsWe're going to warm up the not so summery weather with music performances from Fergus Daly and Danny Forde with interview and display by ceramicist Olivia Canavan.
Danny Forde is a singer-songwriter and composer hailing from Dublin. Vocal harmony, string quartets, fingerstyle guitar, and healing sounds feature strongly in all his music. "New Artist Of The Week" - The Irish Times Olivia Canavan is a professional visual artist living and working in Co Cavan. Working across a broad range of disciplines, such as paint, textiles, feltmaking, theatre and ceramics her practice is under pinned by a strong sense of participatory approach and collaboration with various artist groups and communities. Fergus Daly is an upcoming, Irish indie-rock artist. Despite only releasing his first song in December 2017, he has gone on to rack up over half a million cumulative views for his music videos! All this talent under one roof on Friday June 21st from 9pm. Free admission. We're also delighted to welcome back Giant Wolf Theatre Company, who, if you remember, shook the venue with laughter.

3/11/2018 0 Comments 16th November 2018Three counties bring their talents to Bailieborough this month in the guise of Vickers Vimy (Mayo), craft songs that dwell on the borders of folk and Americana; Hattie Billingham, a glass-artist from Co Monaghan will display and discuss her work with in-house interviewer, Kate Kelly and; Ali Shortt, a singer-songwriter from County Meath combines her experience in choral music with her unique folk sound. All something to look forward to.

Judging by the words of Tony Clayton-Lea in The Irish Times, 'with his debut offering McCann comes into his own . . . 10 exuberant songs . . . Here Comes the Rapture has flawless influences . . . McCann delivers a collection of taut tunes . . . numerous dingers here that well and truly hum. 4/5', we're definitely in for a treat. Singer/songwriter Lily Burke also joins us on the 19th. Lily is currently in the pre-production stage of recording new material, which will be released in 2019. We're also fortunate to have Carrickmacross artist Orlagh Meegan-Gallagher display and discuss some of her current work with our resident interviewer, Kate Kelly.
