Three counties bring their talents to Bailieborough this month in the guise of Vickers Vimy (Mayo), craft songs that dwell on the borders of folk and Americana; Hattie Billingham, a glass-artist from Co Monaghan will display and discuss her work with in-house interviewer, Kate Kelly and; Ali Shortt, a singer-songwriter from County Meath combines her experience in choral music with her unique folk sound. All something to look forward to.

We're delighted to welcome back Cavan singer/songwriter Paul McCann as he promotes his debut album Here Comes the Rapture. Judging by the words of Tony Clayton-Lea in The Irish Times, 'with his debut offering McCann comes into his own . . . 10 exuberant songs . . . Here Comes the Rapture has flawless influences . . . McCann delivers a collection of taut tunes . . . numerous dingers here that well and truly hum. 4/5', we're definitely in for a treat.
Singer/songwriter Lily Burke also joins us on the 19th. Lily is currently in the pre-production stage of recording new material, which will be released in 2019. We're also fortunate to have Carrickmacross artist Orlagh Meegan-Gallagher display and discuss some of her current work with our resident interviewer, Kate Kelly.

We're delighted to have two returning musicians this month. Andy Lawlor accompanied Donal Coghlan last year and now is performing his own set with Karina Buckley. Also returning to the Sessions is Ronan Leonard who is currently recording a new CD set for release at the end of the month. We're also excited to have the Sillan Players perform an extract from their recently successful production of Una Pooka by Michael Harding. We hope to see you all there. It's going to be fun.
We're looking forward to kicking off St Patrick's weekend with our monthly Sessions on Friday March 16th downstairs at Nixy's as usual. Featuring comedian/poet Dave Hynes, Dublin indie-folk band Pine the Pilcrow, singer/songwriter Sam Geraghty and traditional musician Sharon Argue we're sure to be in for a great night's entertainment.
